just wondering if any one knows whats wrong with my vl. the car will not go into 4th. spoke to a transmission place and they said it could be to do with the wiring. i have looked at the wires that are connected to the transmission lever and they seem to be fine. i have looked at the wires at the back of the speedo and they seem to be fine. do people change the wires so the car is all ways at power. eg 1st to 3rd. the car goes hard but wont go into overdrive. its chewing heaps of fuel and revs high around 100kms. i blew the the fan belt doing 170kms on the way to my bros to get a new waterpump put in. put a new belt on and realised the pump had died as well. put the new pump in and the bearing on the fan was gone as well. that cost me $150. not happy. the car is now finally all good except the transmission.ANY ONE KNOW.... I just sold a TCU to a fellow that had the same problem and it fixed it.
170kmh especially in third what or who are you trying to kill?

how much for one. wont doing much speeding 4 a while, got done at 4:45pm today doing 116km in a 100 zone. only on my red p's, 90km limit but he let me off and said it was only 15km over the speed limit. thought i was going to lose my licence on the spot.t

I sold mine for $20. They might be worth a bit more than that though.
Just post a wanted transmission control module ad up on the for sale and wanted section here.
They are easily small and light enough to fit in one of those 3kg post satchels |
