Just scored a pair of ol skool tramp bars (got em real cheap)

Back in the day bogan fuelheads would jack up the rear end by suspending the rear of their leaf springs on 6 inch brackets and fit tramp bars underneath on the axle brackets escpecially EH HOLDENS which were the hotrods back in the early 70s
this was kind of a bizarre look with low profile 13" T/A s deep dish(10") rims
could this look ever make a comeback?

guilty as charged. they old days whre good, get an early holden, throw the grey and 3 spd crunch box out, put a HR disc brake front end in it,or even a drum brake front in it fom a HD-HR cos it was red motor set up and had ball joints,chop th outrigger of

I don't think it will ever come back due to the limitations of the tyre manufacturers, and the lack of required sizes dictated by the era.

You brought back some memories there "We Wreck",I remember a couple of EHs getting around as described.There was one EH though that had a 327 and a muncie box fitted,money wasnt a problem to the owner.It set records I believe "illegally" that stood for qu

yes fellss the good old days...as we grew and apprenticeships ended, we bacame tradesmen off the old skool type, do anything, make anything, and we worked earning a decent salary, employment wasnt a problem, and skipping from job to job cos if the boss wa

Well Said, "We Wreck", Well Said.Those chrome wheels looked fantastic on the EH's and HR's.I think from memory it was 10" on the back and 8" on the front,if you had the money that is.No power steer or air then either, just enjoyment.Bring back the fun!

well takes me back as well,, i have had 5 eh,s,,
when i painted my diff yellow,, i keep going, and ended up with a yellow gold eh wagon, 186 twin carbs extractors, 8inch bridgs er70,s back 7 inch front, black curtins, and parked at croydon drive in most
more than basketcase than a bear!

those days we modified and changed our cars to enjoy them not like now where it has to be right to factory to make it worth more money,
no fun these days all "money"
