Well, matching numbers mean nothing if it's NOT a factory V8.
Apart from the fanatics who are after top notch factory V8 matching numbers cars most people just want one for the shape. In that case then matching numbers etc is a bit irrelevant.

The whole matching numbers thing makes me laugh. As far as I'm concerned, it's either a GT or it's not. If it aint a GT, WHO CARES about numbers. A 6 cylinder hardtop is hardly a collectors car, no offence intended.

In reply to your question, the

Funnily enough I have spoken to a few coupe owners over the last 12 months about this very subject. I know of 2 6cyl cars that were converted to V8 and the owners have returned them back to their original 6cyl set up. My car was originally a 6cyl and I

In my opinion, this car has some drawbacks,

One, it's an XC, they are crap to look at, boring interiors and dash, boring grill and even more boring wheels.

Secondly, and in regards to this particular car, it's in far too good condition and therefore

My point exactly.

It's a 6cyl shopping trolley car....boooooring !!

First thing to do is rip the guts out of it and install v8 running gear.....so why not just buy a v8 coupe to begin with ?

Serious, it's just a 6 cyl Ford, it's not made of magic

Nice car lube.Quite frankly who gives a toss if it isnt a V8.It is a nice car & to be honest probably rarer than a 302 or 351 as most of the 6's were trashed.Obviously most people have overlooked the bits on the car,eg houndstooth trim etc & the car looks

All XC coupes were GS. They also had the fairmont/GT chrome around the tops of the doors unlike the XA/B Falcon coupes. :) I think it's quite a nice looking coupe myself.

Muscle cars are falling and will continue to fall.

Basically the market that these cars appeal to can no longer remortgage or get easy credit.

Musclecars, boats, harleys etc etc they are all falling.

The workers are finding it much more difficult

The market is slowing I'll give him that. Prices were getting pretty stupid and now that reality has hit with the way the economey and world share markets are going we will more than likely see a drop in muscle car prices. Not down to 5 grand for a go

Mrs Mann is obviously an office jockey / pen pilot who is of the belief that ones life is measured by his wealth and not happiness.
Question is, if you do not get into the whole Aussie muscle car scene and believe it is over-priced etc, what are you doin

Have you had any offers?
