There is no official type 1 and 2 350 in HT, however there are some variations on the manual engines, there are two types of heads used and two different blocks.

They might however be refering to manual and auto engines.

Which of the HT/HG manual engines were from New York? I had someone telling me the other day all Holden Chev engines were from Canada which I know isnt right based upon HK but I wasnt sure of which HT/G were.

So it's only HT 1837 manual engines from New York? Are HG manual from Canada? I assume HT/G 1837 auto are all Canadian.

Yes I do have a copy and I couldn't find any reference to which of the HT and HG engines were Tonawanda or McKinnon. I'm only talking HT/G here and only 350, not HK 327 or HK/T 307 as I understand these much better. I always thought the 350A blocks were M

Yes that is right for the Moanro engines Byron. The late HG engines are also the 010 blocks.

It is also interesting with the 327s from Tonanwanda, these are still being used in HT and HG number sequence.

Sorry about the slip up before.

Yeah I thought the 327's for the CKD Chevs etc were funny when I first found one with a Pagewood number like 32718xxxTxxxx?? At first I thought it was a dodgy but discovered that they stayed in the HT/G sequence but were "type 1" engines. From memory the

Yes the first HT GTS 350 was actually fitted with a second type 327 engine. The second HT 350, which was built at the same time, was not fitted with an engine until 2/70, which was a 350 engine, so only 1 HT was fitted with a 327 engine. The car still exi
