Certainly not on WB as an L34 engine wouldnt pass the ADRs. Thats why A9Xs couldnt have them. Are you sure its not L32? Could also be a mis-stamp. Note that all WB 253s has a 4 barrel valley cover.

It was hard enough to get an L31 (308/5L) in a WB commercial!

Very hard. I've only ever seen a WB ute in L31, M38 and a 1-tonner in L31 M40. It was also very hard to get a 308 in a HQ-HZ tonner. I've only ever seen about 4 including my L31 M41 HZ Overlander. I think Dr Terry has one too.

Hi Guys.

Yes, I have an HZ L31-M41 BO6 One-Tonner. These were quite common in 1977 to 79, but rare these days.

WB commercials with L31s are ultra rare. I think Ive only sighted 3 or 4 in my life. Officially they were not available, but I know that c

The code on the plate is L36 for a blue 4.2. L36 and M40 are quite common in WB. Maybe the 6 looks like a 4? It wont be L32 as they didnt make that engine in the blue period.

Hmmm, I went out to my HJ Tonner.
It says L31-M21-GV4
I always thought L31 WAS A 253.

So L31 is a 308 is that right.
It has a 308 but I just thought some one had fitted it.
