hey im keen on putting a 9inch diff into my hk. very expensive though , like 3500 4000.
i see a lot of 9 inchs on ebay to suit like xb xc xw xy , toranas, hq -hz etc
will any of these work on mine somehow. also a mini spool or full steel spool is no good whatsoever for the street correct ?

Hi Dylan, Firstly where are you from?? Yes you can put a nine inch in your HK Yes you are correct in saying that a mini spool or full spool is illegal in a street car - contrary to what others my say...

I purchased a 9-inch diff about a year ago (part of a HK ute project car which I ended up buying as well). It was already shortened for the HK, fully rebuilt open centre with discs and caplipers to bolt on. He was asking about $1200 I think

I have a shortened 9" in my HG Monaro it was not that expensive at all. A grand to make it the width I wanted 2 billit axels all the HG mounts, bump stops and Brake mounts too. I kept the HG backing plates and drums. Fitted like a glove your initial cost |

Hi Ya Dylan,
I have tried to help you out with your 9 inch diff quite a while ago.
So far in the last 12 months i have supplied another 3 for other street/strip guys. All are VERY happy.
