Have 308 in 1972 hq and trimatic boath allmost stock
Both run fine sounds terrific.
What sort of $ should i be looking at?

i'd probaly say about 3-400 maybe 500 if in good order no oil leaks etc.

There are a couple on evilbay at the moment with buy it now prices of $1100 and $1200.

no its not. a 304 definitely, but the wreckers are asking $600 in sydney

last year i paid $500 for a complete 308 +0.030 and turbo350 outa VB worked fine. $150 for a longblock holden paturn 308 +0.030 and $80 for a short block 308 holden paturn +0.030 of ebay. a trimatic for a V8 is usualy around $80-150 so i would say $300-40

I get $500 all day long for standaed bore 308 motors with NO accessories.

Sold tons of good runners for $800 +

Turbo 350 runner $350-400
Turbo 400 runner $400

If someone will pay 700 for it sell it but i have bought 6 308 engines over the last 7 years 2 complete with turbo350 and 1 complete with turbo400 the most i paid was 500 for the last one outa the VB, 5 of the engines were outa the trading post and 1 of e

Luke virgin bore motors fetch more than motors that have been bored. i paid $200 for a virgin block earlier this year, just so i wouldnt have to deal with core shift.
