Does anyone know how to recolour faded black seat belts?

These belts are in very good nick except that the top ends of the rear belts have been faded to grey by the sun.

He can web new ones up for you in just about any color.
Hes price isnt too bad either.

Hes probably worth a call.

Thanks guys, I am happy with these belts and want to use them if poss.

Was thinking I might get the cook to dye just the ends down as far as the adjuster.

Does anyone think that the dye might upset the stitching.

Just a thought, but when I took my HQ to have a baby seat fitted the guy who did the fitting said that if they have been in the sun long enough to fade them then the strength of the stitching could have dropped as well.

dying wont work as they are made of a nylon polyester type material which will not take in the dye .if you trying to save a few bucks do what another member said is to paint them with a vht vinyl dye but may cause the belts to be a bit stiff.hey but that

Won't be spraying them, checked a few websites and the story is to soak them in really hot soapy water, give them a scrub, hose them off & hang them up in the sun to dry.

Did the wash thing, worked a treat, filthy water in the tub, but it didn't do much for the fade.

Rang Rare Spares, got the guy to measure the seat belt top covers. At 13cm they are long enough to cover the problem, done deal.
