Gday guys hoping you can help me identify this VT and if there is anything special about it, was claimed to been a HSV upgraded Executive. Some I can Identify some not or not quite, thanks for your time, cheers Barry.
VIN: 6H8 (OK thats the world I.D. code) VT (model) K (commodore executive, ute or acclaim) 69 (Body style????? What type ?????) M (Engine????? what type???) X (year made 1999 ??? but year stamped is 1/9/1998) L (Elizabeth S.A.) 374470 (production number)
Model VT 8VK 69/9C1 (???? anything special here?)
Trim - 171 (????)
Paint - J073 (????)
Engine - LB9 (????)
Trans - M30 (I assume thats just a TH700)
Axel - GU4 (308:1)
Suspension - FE2 (of course)
So anything stand out here? Do I need to look somewhere else? Is there a way to identify if this was an upgraded executive?

69 is not a vt body style, 69 as a body style was last used in the VH series, VK onward is 19 for a sedan. 9C1 is a `police pack` Edited by user Thursday, 21 August 2008 7:47:37 AM(UTC)

Hi Guys. From VB to VH & then VT onwards 69 is the SWB sedan body style. From VK to VS (except Statesman & Caprice) the sedans were 19 body style. All Statesman & Caprice from WB to current have a 19 body style. The 19 has an extra window in t Edited by user Thursday, 21 August 2008 8:22:39 AM(UTC)

Nice, one of the last Holden 5L engines.
All I can really add is that it's Heron White in colour, with Pewter (Grey) trim.

So the engine being listed as LB9 refers to the 5lt?
(if you see any typos my key board is going flat and dropping out letters and as I have a 2yr old boy everyting he owns runs on AA batterys so there are no new ones in the house lol)

W/H R/T - cloudy has pretty much summed it up. VT1 (and VS3) were the last to run the Holden 5L. The M engine code in the VIN, and the LB9 give that away.

Mate, it's all in what areas you are passionate about. I know the commodores really well, but don't bother asking me about pre-VB, as I won't know!
I have a lot of admiration for guys like Dr Terry who have knowledge across all 60 years of Holdens.
