TH350 setup to neutralise in 2nd HELP!!?????

I bought a HZ ute with a 308 th350 combo in it and the dude i got it from was saying it had the auto modified to neutralize in 2nd...I have never heard of this before but they said it is a great thing .saying the auto goes to neutral when you drop revs or something in second..
I just thought it was another way of saying its stuffed ...
I just heard from another bloke that has the same thing...
I must live under a rock..I asked mates and rang the local mechanic and they looked at me stupid and said never heard of that..
Anyone know the truth???

BTW I have removed the motor and box from the HZ so I cant just take it for a drive :)
