Can oxygen sensors be tested out of the vehicle or do they have stay connected and tested with Tech 1-2 ?? AL.

Hi AL.

They have to be tested in the car, but you dont necessarily need a scanner. A scanner is the easy way, but if you dont have one, most workshops use a multi-meter (or similar) that has a bar graph type display. Once the sensor is warmed up & work

Do they show as a fault on the engine light or anything if they are faulty?
