Hi Guys,
no more than an academic question really, but I was interested in the Saffron GTS/4 on evilbay currently.

The ad makes reference to XV4 as youd expect (but not as is explained in the ad!).
Anyway, the interesting thing is the seller claims that the body tag is stamped L31 and M40.
I'm not going to buy it so wont waste the blokes time asking for a pic of the plate - but this seems unlikely I would have thought? |

Why is it unlikely? Ive got about 6 sets of ID off HQ GTSs (coupe and 4door) and I think most of them are trimatics. The ENG spot can be blank for an XV4 if its a high comp 253, but the transmission can never be blank as the standard box for a V8 Kingswoo |

I wasnt paying attention to what I was reading or typing, apologies.
The original impression Id been given (not by the seller I must add) was that the plate was stamped L30/M41 - what I thought would be unlikely (on an XV4).

He said something about it been a taged 308, but was fitted with a 350 Chev from factory.
which is weird? but who knows.
