gday guys I'm looking at getting a HQ Monaro and have seen this one on e-bay. I have noticed this person has sold a few HQ GTS's on e-bay. can anyone vouch or know this person or car before i make a bid.

You do have to wonder when they (mis)represent the car as being one owner when clearly they are not the original owner. This is false representation.

I would accept it as one owner if it was a dealer who bought it off its original owner purely to sell

Mate, If anyone can read that whole listing and the only thing they can mention that he states that it is a one owner...what the hell! Who cares! The car is a 100 per cent geniune and she is worth that money all day long.
You want to check if she has the

1 owner is like matching no.s

some people dont give a damn, and to others it makes the car worth the extra premium

sort of like gts or monaro rather than kingswood

if these things dont matter, why not just buy a belmont ???

You are a serious whack job if you think one owner to two owners is in the same level of value , as to a premier/belmont or GTS/monaro.
In this advert, he has bought it off the original owner and never changed it in his name...so technically, there is on

I never made anything personal to anyone...
I get an absolute gutfull of people making comments on GTS/4 and 2 door monaros, when they do not have a clue.
If your point is not valid...just dont say anything.
i.e. one owner!! or 50 owners...if it is a g

The guy buys old cars and does them up for a job. So he is a dealer... who cares as long as the car is what is stated.

OK Ill qualify my earlier statement. If someone represents a car as one owner when clearly they are the second owner then what else are they trying to hide or misrepresent?

If the car is a two owner car then they should state this FACT or not

If I was allowed to spend nearly $30,000.00 that would be the GTS/4 for me, the colour combination and the originality of it with books and original paper work...wicked!
Obviously, i would want the GTS/4 350 with the 4 speed...but they are very rear to f

I have looked at a lot of GTS/4s from 253 to 350s.
Not one of them I have ever seen has matching numners...now I have plenty of people say that none of them ever had matching numbers, until 1974 onwards.

Which always put doubt in my mind about the one

PSN appearing on the BODY plate isnt exactly what people mean by "matching numbers". From what I understand it means ID plates match the chassis (by date, plant, sequence or actual number or combination thereof ie the plates are original to the chassis) a

HK,
This is exactly it...if you go by the build sequence and then the body tag build number on other GTS/4...they have never matched.
This the first one I have seen in 18 months.

The PSN matching the BODY number was introduced in late HQ in 3 x plants (at different times from memory), but not in Adelaide until late HX. The GTS 4 door straddles the introduction date (again differs for plants) so this will be why you see both types.
