All,

Is it possible to find the objectives of Fastlane anywhere? Things like goals and outcomes resulting from the input of all who post here.

An improved understanding of Holden products along with a sharing of factual knowledge sounds like the type of thing that you would expect to gain from participating here.

Perpetuating myths/misinformation and personal attacks are not the kind of thing that make a forum such as Fastlane great.

any internet forum is simply a meeting place for the discussion of questions of public interest.

nothing more nothing less, you dont have to agree with what is said nor do you have to get involved in every thread. it is information sharing in its simpl

I look at the forum as the online equivalent of the local pub.
A place to hang out with your mates.
Unfortunately its also a place where people start fights....

But mostly, its just trading stories, helping our fellow holden fans, and looking after e

All,

Thank you very much for the replies. A special thank you to Mick as the way you have put this into perspective is pure genius and hits the bullseye dead centre.

The concerns over what Fastlane represents have come about due to what appears to b

I just think that they need to just have a moderator in place that all posts are checked before it actually lists. Save time wasters. idiots and agressors. I know it may take more time for the site but may attract the serious people to the site even more.

Forums are just like the pub. You ignore the loudmouth dickheads at the bar and you can find out some really usefull information and funny stories.

if people come here to flame and be idiots, clearly they have too much time on their hands...and more than likely have no mates in real life.

so when i see stupid posts, i just ignore them...its easy!

If no contentious posters go on we have no one to pick on and nothing new happens. If the anonymous posters and abusive posters get no response to their posts they will give up and move on, seen it all before time and again, the best way to deal with them

Some good points here. Reading between the lines, I find myself referred to here which I think is a good thing as it would appear that others agree with what and whom I have questioned on occasion. In the end it is about interested people learning new thi

I would like to see a bit more compassion toward newcomers.
I have seen in the past a few newcomers get flamed immediately.
They may be scared off instantly, never to return.
