What is the difference between I beam & H beam conrods? Is H beam stronger & better?

Look at the rod down the length of it and on its side from either end and you will see the beams shape as either a I configuration or H configuration. Pretty hard to explain actually really need pictures as examples, sorry. I beam shape is most commonly
