I am stripping my HQ. What is the best way to rid body & panels of paint/rust etc. Some say Soda blast & others say Bead or sand blast. Does any one know the best procedure? Thanks.

Had my ute body "garnet" blasted, pretty sure sand blasting is outlawed now in Vic. It removed all bog and rust and was gentle on the door panels. I believe garnet is sent over from WA?? al.

Had the channels in the doors and a couple of other things sand blasted because of the rust, and as long as your operator knows what he is doing with having his equip at low pressure and watch the heat build up you should be OK. He refused to do anythin

Have heard that Soda glosses the steel up too much and paint wont stick, but I know no more. Talk to someone that knows their stuff before doing anything.
