How do i tell if it had Evaporative and exhaust emission controls? or if it just had one and not the other? is there any way to tell?

I want to make sure i get the correct manifolds, dizzys etc etc as the holden parts books are showing diferent for emissions and not emissions. want to make sure i get it right =)

cheers

All Aussie HZs (except for the handful of Commerical Overlanders pre mid 1978) have evaporative and exhaust emmission controls (basically ADR27A). The other stuff in the parts book is for export AFAIK. Note that the inlet manifold changed at some stage in

Same part number as HX and late LX is what you want. Ive got a good one here but it needs a repair on one side where a piece is broken off. Ill send you a photo and youll see what I mean. Give me a few days to do it though.

Its an error by the look of it. I think the one you want is the one where it lists a different part number for manual and auto. Its probably a blanking plate for EGR or something like that is different between manual and auto. Where it just lists one that

just had another look in all the parts book.

the 9942656 manifold is common for hz, hx, hj 5.0L autos.
HZ and HJ books list it as pollution and HX lists it as non pollution. So it must be the HX parts book that has the error.

atleast i am happy

They are also the worst dog of a manifold too. If you can get away with it youd be better off with a KC 25308 or Edelbrock Performer.

Hi Guys.

The manifolds with part numbers beginning in 99.... are the ADR27A ones. As long as it has provision for an EGR valve & a U shaped centre port, it will fit a Red ADR27A motor.

Just be careful of the old problem, these part numbers are not t
