Rather than a new cam, i was thinking of roller rockers to add a touch more lift to my red 202. Its rebuilt 40thou, 28/68 cam, ported head, larger valves, extractors.

Soon to step up to better head, maybe Yella Terra (then re-drill for later model head etc) and twin carbs.

Thoughts?

Not a bad plan. But a trap I fell into was that if you are going for the high ratio rollers, then you should go for the screw in studs and guide plates. And you cant just pull out the old studs , tap nad screw in new ones, you need the pedestals machinin

Its a 202 head, so doesnt have rockers on studs like the 186. The new rockers will have studs that would bolt in place of the stock rocker br

Small block chev roller rockers will fit. The studs are 7/16"unc to screw into the head, so you will need to get the holes drilled out and tapped.

The top of the studs where the rocker goes can be either 3/8"or 7/16". Just be sure that you get the rig

Ah, cheers. Rare Spares currently has chrome 202 rocker covers for sale at a sweet price. Probably a cheapy, but hey, its just a rocker cover. My mate just bought one and it seems to be slightly taller than a stock cover. Maybe for rocker clearance. Ill
