Hi guys, can anyone tell me where I can get information about the 173s GTR . Engine specs, performance , road test maybe. Cheers Bazza.

I am not aware of any road test. I did have the engine spec at one time but sorry do not have anymore.
Terry should have it in his new book out soon.

I have a 161s GTR from wheels mag. 161s = 125 HP @ 4800 rpm.
173s = 130 HP @ 4800 rpm.
These motors are the same as a 186s. with 2 barrel carb, and dual exhaust manifold & exhaust, chrome rocker cover & air filter with low restriction.

Gregorys Service and Repair Manual No 84 covers LC-LJ 6 cylinder Toranas. It has a few pages of engine specs for the various motors including 161s and 173s. Post a fax no and Ill fax them to you.

Thanks guys. Would love a copy of both those pages with any info on the 173s David.Have plenty of roadtests on the 161s but have never been able to find one on the 173s.Only turn my fax on when needed as my phone wont work when its on. If you find the oth
