What a complete joke the Monaro Nationals turned out to be. Cars with Alloy wheels winning Factory Authentic, while "factory original" cars got over looked. A complete farce.

Thanks Victorian Monaro Club.. Never again.. I wont be back.

I would not go blaming any judges, obviousley the problem was with classification. The "rules" stated:

Factory authentic
As per concourse plus: Nasco and GM approved options and accessories as per parts catalogues and options lists for that model and

Compleatly disagree with you Terry, The winner of Factory Authenic in the VX/V2 class was a 2002 HSV GTS Coupe. They did infact come out with those wheels (19x8) When i download my pics from my camera I will post one of that car. I think the plate was GTS

If there is ONE thing I would like to see, is HOW the judges MARKED up or down a car. Like the cars scoresheet.

That way the owner has SOME idea, where the car was let down.

Otherwise its not judging, its playing favorites on the day, nice tyres, pa

I attended the nationals, travelling from southern NSW and it was overall a very good event in my opinion. I have attended BAthurst and Loxton prior to this and yes there were a couple of raised eyebrows with some of the judging but a pretty good event

The only comment I will make about judging is that the chief judge for concours and factory authentic MUST be recognised as a Monaro Expert such as Warren to give the judging an air of credibility. Anyway thats just my feedback for whoever runs the next o

As for cars being "better" than another i get a bit sick of that comment. Tha

I went to the Monaro Nationals with a few mates and we had a really great time looking at all the Monaros. Of interest to me were the real Holden muscle cars, the GTS 350s. What needs to be said is in regard to the great trade display of parts and service
