Just watched/read the news & it looks like GM, along with Ford & Chrysler are buggered. GM has enough cash to only operate till mid/late Decenber, then thats it, into recievership or Bankruptcy, unless teh US congress bails them out too? so anyone have the inside track on what that will mean of Holden, is it Game over?, the only info I could find was that the Oz Fed Gov wont let them go under? thats it no info of how, of course. Its starting to get scary!! online story here... http://business.timesonl...port/article5126880.ece

one of the articals I read stated the Chrysler deal is off, as of last month... I know Holden have been doing it tough the past few years, but I cant see it go under, unless its dragged down by Detroit. I hope our Gov will be smart enough to help out.

The way that GM corporation is structured, Holden will go if the other divisions fold as is indicated. Sadly, all good things do come to an end at some point. With the tariff reduced from 10% to 5% on imports in the near future, Holden will more than like

So.....Who here owns a foreign built car?
Certainly not me as I dont believe in sending a years wages overseas especially to one of those countries who would have happily invaded us a little over 60 years ago.
Even buying a used foreign car only |

Holden would find it difficult to export cars without GMs global dealer network and established markets.
Having a quality product doesnt always help when exporting ie current (Daewoo) Barina, low quality but good distribution and marketing.
