hi all new to this web site l have a 351 4ma crank with arp rod bolts with 302 rod and 302 close/c heads pocket ported and throated out 750 hp v/sec carby holley and red line torker manifold with a c10 3000 hi stall and 355 gear the engine only 20000km old and want to change the cam now the cam to run ?? help

Anything running from about 3200 to about 6500 rpm. Gotta make use of ya stall converter, Are you racing or just a boy wonder out looking for traffic light brawling ?

will be racing on the 1/4 mile but will be more of a sunday driver the can in the motor now is from 2400 to 5400 want to wake up the motor a little

Are you sure the car is stalling at 3 grand ? That is a useless cam for that converter, I assume you are running a solid cam already ?. Seems like a reasonable choice to me. Bash some bottle in it while you are the there

oil cam is out of motor and the 2 1/2 stall has been put up to 3000 so lm looking for a better cam

What is your old cam specs and is it a roller, solid, or what? Do you have screw in studs, roller rockers, roller lifters now or if not, are you looking to upgrade for a better camshaft?

U do know the 246 is a solid cam right ?. not sayin there is anything wrong with a solid, just its not somethin u find in everyday streeters.U re coed ur old stally up 500 rpm ? wot a waste of time. that would would have set u back 500 bucks for nothing.

Just cross referenced the crane cam against the crow cam specs ........... You have to be kidding right ?.. for gods sake do some research mate. Straight from crane cams website. = Grind Number: F-246/3294-2-8

G'day,how much lift and duration a cam has is limited to how much work you've put into the valve train.
Once you go past a mild street cam spec,you are looking at better pushrods,better valve seals,screw in studs,valve springs,valve collets and retaine

Bent pushrods,broken rockers and busted springs I can live with but I hate it when the stock valve-heads fall off at 6000PLUSRPM.
It's been lonely in the saddle since the horsey died!!!!

Mate, that is a much more sensible choice in my eyes, I have played with motors all my life bar the bit where i couldnt talk and would choose around there for you. It doesnt have to be crow. there are many decent cam grinders out there. bent push rods are

Again ,,, my humble opinion is to throw that out and use a dual plane manifold. performer by edelbrock for example. They are a good all round unit designed for both low and high revs. the torker is pretty well a strictly high rev manifold being only a sin

Still a single plane manifold albeit having a range starting from 1500 to 6800. You can bet ya knacks that it does its best breathing from 5000-6800 tho. Lets get u to do some thinking........ How hard u gunna rev it and for how long ?Think u can hold 500
