Does anyone know what I should use to sand my car back? I was thinking i could use a wire wheel? any suggestions would be appreciated

I have used the wire wheel when I striped my ute back but I also used paint stripper before hand to make it easier.There are also special paint stripping pads which go onto a 5" grinder which you can get from any good hardware store I found these to work

depends on what you have to take off Ive used wire wheels and stripping pads (these are great but expencive) I also have a 7" sander polisher and its good jsut go easy or you can/will do alot of damge See The Yetis Chev build at http://www.ozrodders.c |

Best is first to use a chemical stripper- use gloves and in a ventilated area. Then use a 7" clean and strip disc on a 7" sander. With this method you wont cut into the metal and will leave the surface ready to acid etch for primer.

i used a flap disk on the end of the drill. i forget the name but its made by 3M.bunnings sell them. its recycled plastic bags. great for door jambs and gutter rails. for the big panel i just used paint stripper. i got a stanley knife and cut up the paint
