Hi all, Im pretty new to this forum but I'm sure rust is'nt. Was wondering what is the latest or is it still the likes of fish oil, Por15 and penetrol etc I've a Hk I'm working on, most of the metal is pretty good but how best to treat any existing and prevent any more. What options have I got, the pros and cons and the costs. Well yous know all the ????. Whats everyone elses experiences?

Now blamyone, Ive had good results with por 15 its pretty much all i hear about now, I guess fish oul has its place (I hope so I just got a heap you flood my chassis rails will after I cleaned them out I think there was nearly a wheel barrow load of red d |

never tried the Por15, never had to, I only use VHTs rust off, its not a converter, it requires the heavy scale to be removed, but you can spray it or brush it on & leave it for a day or two then wipe of the white oxide, thats the dead rust, then simply r |

Feronite primer convertor is the best and the cheapest at around $20 a litre. its mixed with water its what you use on drill rigs and steel hull boats and can be bought from boat supply shops drill holes in your sills and places you can get to and spray |

My mate got me onto it he striped his HQ rust repaired it removed all paint and painted every steel panel with it painted over it with enamel paint its been 4 years paint has stuck perfect and not even a pinhead of rust has come thru. |
