has anyone attempted to put an eb-el xr8/v8 into a xa/b/c? what sort of hurdles am i going to be looking at with the conversion?

I would say it would have been done before, But your biggest hurdle I would expect would be wiring and fuel pump set up if you want to run EFI. What would be your reason for doing this?

A mate of mine is putting an AU XR8 donk into an XT. He has the following 3 issues to deal with A. The auto is too big for the tunnel (XA-XC have a bigger tunnel so this may not be such an issue). B. he has to make a custom gearbox cross member and so wil |

thanks for the replies. my reason for this is because a mate has some stuffed eb/el cars with good motors.
so jim5.0 if i were to use an ef motor and wiring harness/ecu from eb1 would i be able to get around Smartlock? also how hard is it to get aroun

I think that you can buy smartlock bypass modules. My mate is just going to try and wire everything including Smartshield (AU Smartlock) into his.
I am putting an EB2 5.0 into my Capri but purchased all wiring from an EB1 which does not have Smartlo |

i have put 5ltr into xg ute and am having lots of trouble with wiring fitting into my dash, does anyone know how to get rid of all the smartlock wiring to make more room in my dash.
