It seems that we do not read each others messages properly
It is also allowable for some early Holden clubs to allow radials, discs and seat belts in stock class without loss of points, for safety re

Hello Nick,
This is all a great read. I dont think the challenge as put forward is the way to go because if the 2010 Monaro Nationals are held in Queensland then you may end up humbled by your challenge. It would be more sporting having the best of the

Hi shifty.
Yes, this is a great discussion, as everyone has differing points of view & there is no right or wrong.
I see you point re:- the steering stops & boot bracket, but there are at least 2 different ways to look at this.

Hi Dr Terry (and Warren and shifty350),
My memory has just had a jolt by reading through this and maybe I can add something of worth on the tyres front. I think shifty350 has won out here for the following reason. Back in 1969 when I bought my HT GTS 3

Me again,
And to complete the story, a radial has far more sidewall flex than a cross-ply so if a car has had radials fitted in place of cross-plys then it must have the steering altered to prevent a tyre blow out. Im also not sure about the period cor

Apologies. I think the memories of Rods car played havoc with the old brain cells. You guys must have an excellent knowledge base in your heads for all this stuff. I thought I knew a bit about Holden muscle cars but you have floored me.
