The theory that v8s pollute more than 4s is an interesting argument.Say Europe and Japan have mainly 4s then they should have little or no pollution,but they have a lot of cars then how about China and Indian they have mainly 4s and also the worlds larges

Byron, you are correct in saying compact flouros have a poor PF, but even with the increased losses in the transmission/distibution system they use far less energy than the old incandesent, (which has a PF of very close to 1.0 by the way). Ive got mixed

I can acknoweldge me and my car are making a contribution to the fewms in the air - particularly when i give it some.

AFAIK those compact flouros have some mercury in them, so when they blow and get chucked in the bin the mercury will end up in a landfill, and who knows what will happen to the mercury then.

On the last UK Topgear they drove a Toyota Pirus around their test track as fast as they could whilst a BMW M3 followed,the BMW only had to keep up with the new age U-beaut enviro-sensitive buzzbox.After about 10 laps they filled the tanks back up to see

Any body whos ever had something that uses re-chargable batteries will know that they dont last forever and its usually cheaper to throw the whole unit away rather than just buy new batteries.......

to keep up with traffic you have to push a little 4 cyl to keep up, my v8 hq keeps up without a problem, with a 2.78 diff the revs are always low and its quite easy on the fuel, to make it better it is even now on gas and id argue it is CHEAPER to run tha

I might be just a dum country boy, but I thought people built greenhouses to grow stuff in, food etc. So if we turn the whole world into a greenhouse, then therell be heaps of food for the starving millions, also it will save lotsa energy cos wont need
