Ive read the arhives.

I have a under dash unit. It has HQ written on it, proibably from wrecker. It doesn't seem to fit under dash on HZ very easily.

Did these accessory guys make different units for later model Holdens...?

thanks in Advance.

the answer is yes. the HQ could have a dealer fitted unit in place of the glove box or there was a underdash version, both are clearly marked GM. if you want post a pic to help ID the unit you have..

why would dealers fit an under dash unit when there was a factory unit that fitted under the hood and was almost invisible and you kept the glovebox. Except maybe as a last resort.
Problem with the Q is the only place you can really fit one is on the pas

Even some commodores were dealer fitted with aftermarket air (like the AWA systems) that arent anywhere near as well integrated as the genuine air. I guess it all comes down to dealers margins & profit.
