Hi I am in the process of painting my HJ van and am having troubles finding the right info regarding blackouts...

Can anyone tell me how high the blackouts go on a HJ Sandman..from the pictures i have seen it looks to be just to the top of the sill panels. Is this correct?

Also how do i setup the correct heights for the front and rear guards?

Were the GTS Flutes Blacked out as an option? If so what do you suggest a full black block or the outline only?

The rear beaver looks to be blacked out as well as below the front bumper...

thanks for your Help Vanman

hj van is painted the same as on your ute pic. Door tops are not black in brochures I`ve seen, HX were black on the door frame. flutes are body colour but black looks good too.

from what i have seen, i depends on what colour the car was if the flutes were done / stone tray black.
I dont think HJ had blackout around doors, that came later.
follow the black of the sill forward onto the guard.
Yes, the rear beaver was black, som

the mirror on the Jamacian van was the optional remote mirror, the red vans image has been flipped, note the fuel cap on the wrong side.
