and there is the dilema.... how do i trust a panel shop with my prized possession for a few weeks and not have the tags go missing off the car.... unfortunately these tags are quite an easy thing to steal for a trophy hunter and it would be devestating for me if they were to go missing... even though i have a letter from Holden CAC and plenty of pics.... without the actual tags being on the car,,, its value is significantly affected..... not only the monetary value but the originalty of my car has been reduced.... for some reason there is a huge emphasis on monaros not having their tag rivets touched.. so my question is.....is there any way i can have the details of my car recorded and validated by a group or a recognised authority. after having the car validated i would then be able to remove the tags for safe keeping and i will be able to sleep at night whilst the car is out of my control.... getting a new coat of shiny amethyst metallic... i noticed the GT boys remove their tags for safe keeping... does anyone know how they control this and ensure the validation of genuine cars... i am probably just going to bite the bullit and take them off prior to sending the car off to the spray shop.... any advice would be appreciated cheers Al Edited by user Thursday, 18 December 2008 8:07:19 AM(UTC)
