Hey crew, I have recently purchased an xb falcon (taking me back to my first car - hence the name) and was pleased/frustrated to see that it had the classic falcon squeak from the front end. Several people have told me various things about what needs replacing in order to get rid of it. Some tell me a new set of shocks will do it, others tell me it will be many and varied suspension rubbers. Just after opinions from those who have had the problem themselves and gotten rid of it.

Cheers

Yeah pump some grease into the nipples, front and back of the shock towers if it's an early XB. Also check the sway bar bushes. If it's still squeeking after you grease it up a bit pop the bonnet and bounce the car up and down. See if you can pinpoint w

If you have a grease gun try pumping in a bit of grease before pulling it all apart.

XW falcons always squeak but to fix it is easy, As paul said about the grease, BUT with one small tip, jack the car off the ground let the wheels hang them grease them, you usually have to do this 2 or 3 times over a period of a few weeks, works a treat,
If its not broke it will be soon
