as i have just bought this car in g.c run well
but just asking if anyone can help me if anyone knows what can be
causing this it only does it know and again
it does not run hot so please help thanks

(ALL IT WAS AT THE END WAS A BLOWN HEAD CASKET)
(SO AS IT GOT HOT IT WAS LETTING SOME WATER IN)
(TO THE CYL'S 1 & 6 IT IS THE STEEL AROUND THE)
(HEAD GASKET RUSTED AWAY AS TO TO LET WATER IN)

Is it just straight Petrol,no LPG? Check for air leaks from the inlet manifold which will cause a lean mixture.
Are you running correct and good quality spark plugs, leads, dizzy cap and rotor arm? Is the timing slightly retarded?

Does it during acceleration or when just cruising? Hot, cold or both?
Could be something as simple as a lead going.

check all your vacum hoses as well one may have poped off

foot into it ? Hot, cold or both?
it is only 6 cyl 4 litre it is not fuel injec
its the other as for helping thank you if any idea

It has the large round air cleaner on it does it? If so, it still is fuel injected, it is called centre point injection.

Only during acceleration. Few things come to mind. Lead breaking down, crap plug or if all else fails try this. On the side of the dizzy is a wire. I runs along the block under the exhaust manifold. This has a habbit of cooking and going brittle whic
