Hi all.

I have a problem.
My HZ Prem decided to just stop yesterday (Xmas day) while driving. The car just cut out completely.. No power to anywhere inside the car.. I have power to the starter motor and plenty in the Battery.. I have checked every fuse that I can find.
The glass fuse in the wire on the fire wall had blown and I replaced it but still no power to anything inside the car!

Anyone have any ideas? I hate auto electrics as Im auto electrically challenged..

Glass fuses can appear to be O.K but actually be disconnected in the end caps through vibration.

The best way to check them is with a test light checking for power at one end of the fuse and then the other.

I would even re-check the fuse you have re

pull the fuses and clean the terminals in the fuse box with a fine sandpaper. they tend to get a bit rusty and can cut power out. the main culprit for your problem is probably on the left side of the fuse box and towards the front of the car, there are a

Dave The fusible link is possibly blown either from old age or electrical fault. It should be the first bit of wiring harness from the large terminal on the starter motor heading back to the cab.
I think you will find it is a short piece of soft black w

Hi , try this..go to your fuse box or link with a piece of wire and leave your radio on or interior light and touch the wire on both ends of ANY suspect fuses/links .it should point you to a broken current,if not hard wire (temp)to the fuses and see if an

Thanks guys.

It was the fusible link! The main wire attached to the fusible link had fused itself to the extractors at the very back of the motor and the fusible link had cooked itself on the extractors as well.. How it fell down there I dont know..
