Apart from the Brabham Torana, and I guess to a certain extent the Hackett Gold' HSV SV99, can anyone recall any other Holden models that drivers or celebrities have lent their names too. Thanks

Hi Bedders.

The only others that come to mind are the VZ Senator Skaife Signature model & the Greg Norman Statesman International Editions.

You could also add the VC Brock & the VL Walkinshaw, although these werent badged that way.

HSV have done some credit things too - Dorward Blue on the SV88 was named after a staff member, and Im pretty sure its not the only one like it.

Sticking to the similar theme, just moving sideways a little, Holdens trim from VL-VS paid tribute to place
Cheers,

Mick

Mick,

Speaking of paying tribute to places, there was also the Nullarbor edition of the Jackaroo from 2003.

My VH is Torquay Sand, sounds better than the colour it actually is, Biege LOL. What about the Belmont, Kingswood and Monaro places in NSW. ps Belmont is also in WA, VIC and QLD.

what about the Stan Starcevich around the EH model? although that might have just been a west aussie thing as I doubt any one outside WA heard of him. there was quite an advertising campaign "Look for the Stan Starcevich seal of approval".

I saw a red Cross8 the other day. It looked a little different (red painted flares for one) and it had what looked like Brocks signature on the guards just behind the front wheels. Not sure if it was meant to be that way?? And if so why a Cross8??

Looks like weve run out of puff onm this lone, sadly. I thought that there may have been more than that, but we seem to have become bogged down in paint colours rather than special edition cars. Still open for your learned thoughts though, thanks.
