Yes Terry you are correct, they were not a Statesman as such - but a Chevrolet. For the purpose of shape identification I think people generally associate the shape with Statesman as we would normally know it.

So what is a genuine but very rusty HQ 350 Statesman worth... intact and original but shell has seen better days... i know a guy looking to sell one but we havent talked money.... as i wanted to verify the car first... which i have done..

Holden HQ Statesman or Chev HQ 350 Export?

I would say at a guess, Holden HQ around 4-5k, simply for the running gear.

Chev HQ Export, Well the grille alone is worth 1k, rear bumper bar another
1k, Diff if its a 12 bolt another 1.5k, differcult to

www.moby302.co.za have a looksee. he has a lot of South african cars. there is no 6 cyl SA statesman.

Talking of Chev 350s, im rebuilding one right now. Theres a few parts i need. Most of all im desperado for a set of nice body mouldings. Any leads appreciated.

Thanks for that , but I mean cars people own / owned or for sale , it is said there were s/w , utes & vans made with L30 , I have yet to see one at all in NZ (apart from my 2 ) but there must be some left in assy ? Mark.
