Hey guys. Hope somebody can help me.
Just got a vh commodore delivered today and Im at a loss to work out what model it is and some info on it. I have spent most of the day looking on forums but I havent been able to put it all together.
There is only one tag on the car - on the drivers side on the engine bay.

Model - VH8VK69 - 184
Body - 809506M
Trim - 1916 - 65X
Paint - 1E020 - D
Build - Jul82
All the above is a mystery apart from the build.

ENG - L36 TRAN - M20 RAXLE - GU4
(These are the only things I have been able to find out what they mean.)
Hope someone can help
Cheers
Fiona.

These are very rare, as they only made a handful of papaya VHs - all were 253 4 speed SLs.
The interior colour is brown, two-tone, with cloth seat facings.

Also, the 184 after the model code signifies the option pack.

Pack 184 consisted of:

L36 = 253 V8
M20 = 4 speed manual (3.05:1 1st gear ratio)
GU4 = 3.08:1 diff
AG5 = Drivers seat height adjuster
A47 = Retractable rear seatbelts (LH & RH)
CD4 =

Its a nice straight car. Needs very little to get it back on the road. The other half wants to take it to Lakeside Raceway this year for a few sprint meet

Those codes do work out as a VH SL/X Sedan.
The paint is called "Ice Green" and its a light green metallic.
The trim is 2-tone spruce - the green velour & vynil combo.

L36 = 253, M40 = trimatic, GU7 = 2.78:1 diff.
4-wheel disc brakes were standard o
