hi im looking at a ht gts monaro and before i get to excited i wanted to know a few things as i dont realy know much about them.1 does the body number on the firewall somehow match up with the number on the tag?i have all the numbers but the owner says the body number on the firewall doesnt match any other number on the id tag which i find strange.also he claims the car is a 6 cyl gts which i didnt even know they made?the model number is 80737TR.i just want to try and find out that the car hasnt had another tag put on it before i fork over the cash.thanks for any info.

Im sure you will find that the letter "R" is actually a "H" as in TH , HT backwards ,and yes "80737" is the 6cyl GTS. The body # is different to all other numbers on the tags , the body number will end in a letter , this letter represents the city of whi

80737TR is correct for the model number and R does mean RHD.

If its pre 1970 it will only have 2 tags and the chassis number on the firewall wont appear on either tag. 1970 on had 3 tags and the chassis number is on the ADR tag.

No, they are both looking for an investment.

How much would you have sold that 95% rust free HG GTS coupe for, say 12-18 months ago? Ill guess around the 18-20k mark.

I got offered 35k sight unseen for a rusty HK GTS 12 months ago. Yet only a month

Things wont get much worse than they are now. People panic! I personally dont know ANYBODY who has been affected by this crisis.. Not one. Life hasnt changed much here,

The 2 monaros i sold should have gone together, one good body and a complete rusty one.I had owned these for 4-5 years and were in dry storage , as i bought them for parts but didnot need to wreck them.I think that we will see a lot of project cars appear
