For those who dont read the other forums, there is a possible class action pending against Rare Spares for misrepresentation under the Trade Practises Act. This post is only to draw attention to this fact, and not to invite discussion regarding the possible merits of such a case. Any discussion will be drawn upon at a later date if required and any respondents details will be requested.

Please see forum post

for indication of claim.

Thanks for your interest.

This is so childish. It reminds me of kids at primary school.

Brains will give you a reasonable chance of restoring a car. Fit parts then paint. Pay $60,000 for your resto, not $1000 for a super cheap welder, compressor and super cheap thinking and la

Then I went and bought some light globes for my loung

Hi Guys.

Im with Peter Smol. How childish is this. Life is too short.

This sounds more like another get rich quick scheme by a lawyer.

Is it any wonder that most people perceive the average lawyer as somewhere between a child molester & a politic

Im with Pete and Dr Terry.

And let me add that anybody who sits back and looks at what they are doing can properly fit a Rare Spares part. Its those who think they know it all and expect everything that make stupid mistakes as pointed out in Peters rep

Are you trying to get your money back?

Are you trying to get them to pay for a respray to fit their badge?

Ive purchased genuine parts that dont fit properly. The moulds got tired, things didnt align properly, geez there was even an allowance given to dealers with WB statesman at the end of the run to repair them from new.

I really cant see the merit in

I think we are lucky to have a company like Rare Spares to reproduce parts like badges. Try getting Chevrolet Camaro badges and you will see how very hard it is. Toolmaking in this country is a dying art, one of the reasons I got out of it, and skilled up

You got too much time on your hands i think. I congratulate Rare Spares for there great service.
I wonder if Chip Foose gets taken to court because the car he modified for someone that the badge didnt fit 100% but still looked great on the car.

If your interested in real class action, how about a well known purveyor of substandard engine parts, stolen (or copied legally, depending on who you talk to) designs from reputable companies, and a customer service attitude that would make your average d
