After having the car bought 3 times by three different people (on Ebay)with no intention of paying for it, i have decided to sell the car privately. Price is 17k
HJ GTS Monaro
genuine HJ GTS Monaro, It is a genuine 2 owner car that comes with books and has ALL MATCHING NUMBERS. This car is virtually unmolested. Original factory 308, original factory M21 high performance 4 spd manual, 3.36 differential.
Warranty card,ID tag, engine and chassis Numbers ALL MATCH.
It was sold new by Mel Hanson motors in Mullumbimby, northern NSW on the 30th may 1975.
It spent the last 33 years in the same family in northern country NSW, Regularly serviced, maintained and garaged over the last 30+ years, it is a very very tidy HJ without the common problems of the HQ-WB Series, it even comes with the original tyre jack and wheel brace!! i purchased the car in early 2008.
The Original driveline is still in good order, The car starts, steers and stops exactly how it should. I would be confident to drive this thing around australia if i had to!
the body has no rust, cowl panels, floor pans, rear quarters are in excellent condition, the vinyl roof has been removed due to age and the roof recently repainted. There are photos documenting a bare metal respray on the roof. I have owned around 20-25 HQ-WB's and this the tidiest unrestored HJ I have come across. The remaining paint work is showing it's age, but is in "common" condition for a 33 year old car.
The car has some very interesting factory options...these include:
Factory vinyl roof, Driving lights, remote boot release, door scratch plates, venetian rear blind, factory tow pack, power steer, air con, supa lift shocks, front and rear spoilers.
The air con is still in servicable condition, the compressor does cut in when the air con is turned on, however it does need regassing.
Dash and interior are in very good order for age, the drivers seat has a few minor tears, the dash has had an aftermarket stereo installed.
The car has full NSW registration until Feb next year and i have no doubt the new owner could drive it straight home upon purchase.
