Hi
I have a 750 mighty demon carby fitted to my 350 chev which has a 171 weiand super charger installed.
The carby seams to be too rich on idle and the idle mixture screws are only out by half a turn.
After about 15 minutes on idle the plugs are black.
Is there anything I can do to the idle circuit to lower the fuel into the engine on idle.
I would prefer to alter this carby as it is brand new with bowls chromed and the main body sprayed for show purposes.
Any info would be appreciated.
Float Levels Fine/Fuel Pressure only 5 Psi

Do you have a fuel pressure adjuster (inline)? If not get one and start to drop the pressure slowly to see if too much fuel is the problem ,cause to me somethings not adding up. IE; float level/idle mixture.
If its a new carb get in touch with the seller

Fuel pressure is ok.Its only on the idle circuit. These carbs are notorious for running rich on idle. The engine is new so Idont want to glaze the bores

Pull the bowls off and check. We also discovered the carby was warped and and vacuum leaks.
I sent it back to my suplier and they replaced it with a new Holley prob was fixed. Yes my carb was a

i find most "new" style carbs to be rich as a pig in the idle circuits compared to a 20 yr old double pumper.

Im sure the bg carbs have adjustable idle feed restrictions in them, go and buy a handful, drill a 0.025" hole as a starting point and go from
