about a year ago, I purchased a Kingswood Sedan, as I thought!
I bought for the reason of rally competitions down south.
It has some old 350 chev and a 4 spped manual, the body is in excellent condition, was at the time..not anymore. But I change out the old motor for a 400 chev rebuild and a top loader gearbox with a 9 inch diff.
I have raced it a few times last year and smashed her up on the last event.
But my mate was over looking at the car and noticed a few things about the car, he tells me it is a genuine GTS/4 350 which I do not know what that means, but he said it is a monaro...the only monaro is a 2 door...never ever seen a 4 door monaro...is this true.
I have the old papers for the car..but I just want to know if my mate is correct or not...can you let me know.

Does it have tags? If the TRIM code ends in W,X,Y or Z then its a GTS sedan. If the VIN (long skinny) tag has a U, then its a genuine 350.

I have the tag numbers, the one on the drivers side a narrow one is 8N69UCJ3 .....Q as my friend has instructed me to say it that way...i really do not know what for as it is just numbers!
the bigger tag on the passenger side is Model:80469 Body : .....

It means your friend is 100% correct.
80469 is Monaro V8 sedan.
8N69U is Kingswood Sedan with Chev 350.
L30 is engine code for Chev 350, trans should be a Muncie 4 speed.
Paint is Orchid Metallic.
Trim is Black Vinyl.

i dont realy need to sell her, its not like i need the money. one day i might rebuild her. if not it can sit in the back yard and rot for all i care. the 350 has been sitting in weather for the last 12 months or so. and i think the gearbox is in the shed

if i did want to sell her how much are you willing to paid. or what do you have to trade?? also it has this funny looking hump on the gearbox tunnel. not sure what that is. and the floor pans are prety good, i havent had carpet in her for over 12 months

I will have a bit of a think, as I am doing some homework on the car at present.
The motor that came with it is a 39700010 block and has a K on it. I think that means something, I will look it up.
