had another look and found the screws and managed to take grill off unfortunately snapped a couple lugs.
We have found the wire..pulled on it and pushed bonnet up and down and it just will not budge..what next a stick of dynamite!!

boy, not wrong there..just would not budge..we ended up taking up to the panel beater this morning and they couldn't do it either so they had to take off the bumper bar and thermo pad to get it and now they are ordering in a new cable and spring..$120 all
