Got a diff and unsure of what its out of. Top of the centre has 4 9 k3. Anyone have an idea what it's out of? Shock mounts look a little like commodore maybe.

Forgot to say it is a 10 bolt with a 3.08 ratio

If you have a look here http://gallery.oldholden...iffs/Salisbury+housings/There is a picture showing a Commodore large Salisbury diff to compare it to yours. The date code on your diff reads as 9K3 so 9th of 10th 1973 or 1983 etc. Che

Looks like commodore then. So I take it that the centre is a no go to swap into a HQ 2.78 housing?

All the internals will still fit in your HQ housing its all the same inside, just different housing and axles. Cheers Paul.
