This same topic has come up several times on the GMH Torana forum, Toranas use the same ball joints, best ones several people say are Moog ball joints which are made in the USA, they are not cheap though.
Upper (K5108) are $70.00ea and Lower (K5103) $79.95ea from American Autos, these are listed as the "Heavy Duty USA" ones on their website.
Alternatively you could order from Jeggs or Summit Racing in the USA, Summit pricing is K5108 USD 28.39ea K5103 USD 31.39ea plus postage etc.
Cheers JOHN

I should also have added that the Moog ball joints have the castle type nut and split pin not a nyloc nut.

having sold parts for performance and resto vehicles since leaving my trade on a full time basis in the early 90s, i can tell you that eagles sell MOOG, and so does ronny maclean at detroit auto parts, or all american parts in ballarat, pretty sure they both keep those part numbers from memory, if not , they can cross it and supply another brand. also i will state they MOOG also have there fair share of problems with there product "We wreck = KNOWLEDGE" lolololol

Dave, the source i found didnt have anything of worth after i rifled through the box for a couple of hours. I thought it better to delete my original post since it didnt pan out rather than waste anyones time. You were quicker at posting than i am at deleting, sorry mate. Phill 11.38@117

I had drama with nylon encapsulated ball joints as well. Basically they ceased and made the car almost impossible to steer. Mine were replaced with Pedders ball joints. These were the only ones I could find that had a grease nipple and castle nuts.

davey boy, yes i believe you do live there, and also near my mate steve the ethnic(i wont say wog, it will get deleted)who has all those old GTSs piled up high..lol(joke). go in and see brad in there, he is a good bloke. MOOG is a very good product, but sometimes they have been known to fail in some application such as on C1500-2500-3500 pickups and the heavier vehicles. problems which could be atributed to poor fitting by the installer, or abuse as well i should add. some of the rubber is poor quality as well, such as the boots, but not the bushes. they are made in mexico as well as USA, but most the rubber is still sourced from thailand etc. so davey, i have used and would still use MOOG if i needed, but if you go in there to see the boys there, ask them if they still have any old stock in the red and white boxes labelled in the "perfect circle" brand "We wreck = KNOWLEDGE" lolololol
