Yes you are right, the green parts book has the compliance plate with 3/70 build. Interestingly the yellow book does not. Does it appear in the workshop manual? alright sounds fine to me. but can you tell me some things? what is ADR25, AHQ system, BHQ, ADR GVW, ADR20. what the hell are you talking about?
The rego plate was Victorian LSN 520 if that possibly helps?

ADR25 is Australian Design Rule 25, introduced about January 1972. AHQ, BHQ etc is the prefix of the HQ chassis number. First lot were AHQ, B designates an ADR revision. HQ had AHQ - EHQ. GVW is Gross Vehicle Weight (also GVM M=mass). Signifies total ve |

From the number plate we can estimate a rego date.
KNK was 7/70 LCJ was 72 LZO was 75
So I would put LSN at about 73/4.
There are others that could give a better date, but definately not pre 7/71 as you first stated.

I know that some of the 48-215 pilot cars were sold to the public, so the precedint is there. But surely the pre production cars would have been used for impact barrier test, and as test mules. BUT Im happy to be proven wrong.
