hi fellers i have cut the roof of a hk 2 door to make it in to a convertable but the doors wont shut any more i think it is bowwing in the middle a bit? i got told to weld in some metal underneath not sure were to weld it and what type of metal? i have got some old steal shelfing i can cut in to strips will this do the job. thx 4 ne hlp

Just cut 2 pieces of railway track short enough to fit in between the wheels and weld those on the side by the sills,so until you big enough to climb in you can use them as a step.Come back when you grow up.

its all ready rego. just have to know what your doing mate. jacked it up in the midle and they shut. i was going to lock the doors up and fible class them in all the way around but once the jacks are out you cant open the doors now anyway so i will just l

Probly wrecked a good car,Its a job for the profesional or sum1 with a brain.fibreglassing the doors wont help you.i have seen a hq coupe convertable with reinforcing (4"x half inch steel plate alongside the doors) and the doors still lined up poorly.

I heard from my mums ex partners daughters husband, oh yeah my brother in law.. No actually it was his brother in law, that if you silicon up all the holes you can make a convertible into a nifty boat too. let us know how you go!

I reckon people should have to aply for a special licence to own such an awesome car. Id probably throw up if I saw an HK Monaro with its roof chopped off, then Id cry myself to sleep for at least a week asking myself how someone could do such a thing. Su

i seen a hk convertable at the ballarat swap meet a few years ago, it was done propley, it looked ok but i would much prefer the roof on

i seen a hz statesman convertable in a magazine once and it loked really good

if it wasnt for the last minute id
