Hi All

Thinking of converting my HT from 5 spd Supra to a tuff trimatic with a small stall.
Which is the best / toughest trimatic of them all?

Cheers

VK or VL 5L, but you can get any of them rebuilt to better than that. A Commodore one will suit your HT better as the original HT/HG units were left hand shift.

What needs to be done to them to handle 350 - 400HP?

the HT / HG were cable kickdown too, finding one of them would be hard.

Plus those were the trimatics that gave trimatics a bad name.

i think the powerglide input shaft is the same as trimatic and you can buy one to suit 500hp+ its about 140 bucks from the states.

I got a 350hp capable full manual shift Trimatic with 1800 stall built by a place called KEAS. http://www.keas.com.au/

I dont know how to contact them, an internet search should get you there. My engine builder sorted it out.
