ca someone please tell me the physical difference between a HQ GTS 350 block and the 350 block that was put in the HQ statesman...

I know the prefix on the engine number but why have a prefix if it was the same engine...

So if there were differences.. what were they,,

not 100% sure but i think the gts had a 4 bolt crank caps and the stato had a 2 bolt crank caps

None. Only the 11. Same as with 202, 253 and 308. Statesman wasnt a Holden which is why I think they used the 11 and 12 prefixes.

As far as I was aware they were all 2 bolt mains 3970010 blocks. There were no differences.

Just to clarify my above post, manual HQ 350 engines were slightly different to later autos as from what Warren and Ben had stated here before, they were all 1971 engines ie stockpiled. But as far as blocks go they will be the same GTS/LS/Kingswood to Sta
