I was in town today picking up some tickets, and went into Frontline Hobbies. Was looking at an A9X but saw a Bill Bourke Special XW in 1:18. Haven't seen these for sale for a while, and even though it's a F#@d it's the pinnacle of Aussie road cars in my opinion. This one was a cancelled layby. There have been better and more influential track cars like Bob Jane's ZL-1 and Norm Beechey's HT and Allan Moffat's Boss Mustang but this is the road King for me. It's also my inspiration for my yellow GTS327. So into the model's cabinet a F#@d goes.

Nothing wrong with a bit of multicarturalism. Even though most of my old cars are Holdens I do have a fondness for the other brands. We have a 2 door holden (HQ) and a 2 door Chrysler (VG) in the family already but would love a 2 door Ford to finish the s

Now all we have to do Byron is to get you to bring yourself to type the word Ford 8-) . Come on you know you can do it. If not you can join Fordaholics Anonymous and they will have you fixed in no time.

Hmmmmm I wonder if he's running(or has run)a bit of Ford gear in that holden........maybe a 9 inch or toploader???
Is'nt it funny how running some Ford stuff in a Holden or Mopar is pretty much acceptable but running anything GM in a Ford is absolute

I know a bloke who did a 28 chev roadster, and put a blown 351 clevo in it (out of his XA coupe) just to snub those who throw SBCs at every rod they can find!

I'll use a 9" if I can't get a Chevy 12 bolt for Yel327. 9" in original form isn't as strong but heaps easier to fix when a big block snots it! Will always run a Muncie before a Toploader though.

I couldn't find a Muncie or Saginaw, so I had to settle for a Toploader.
Cheers, Pete. Old Holdens never die, they just go faster. |
