Hi Robbo.

The only 1970 HG Monaro I could find on carsales is a red South African Chevrolet SS. If this is the car you mean, it is a car assembled & sold in SA using Holden CKD kits plus a few locally sourced parts.

In similar vien to the Chev State

I was too quick, because I didnt see the black Corvette", I only saw the SA Chev SS.

I think that black thing is a kit car called a Perenti. They used an HQ-WB ute/van chassis & you could then fit Holden or Chev running gear.

Why the seller calls it

Dr Terry is correct. Perenti is the name, and HQ-WB van/ute chassis is the platform. I still have the sales brochure here somewhere for the kit.

Perenti was also made in perth in the ninties as a kit car by frank hardy engineering (chev power),a good friend of mine worked there for years.

I think that its spelled Perentti and yes it was built on a HQ-WB ute/van chassis. I have seen one in the flesh and they are quite nice.

They have a big advantage over a Corvette in that they were long enough to have a back seat.
